My Story
Compassionate Care, Expert Grooming
I was born in Japan and came to the States when I was 4 years old. I wanted to be a Veterinarian when I was growing up. I was set to go off to college to study Animal Science at Cal Poly Pomona. Unfortunately, tragedy struck before graduation and it completely changed my path and future endeavors.
I received my Bachelor’s of Science in International Business at CSULB in 1998.
“Since childhood, I’ve been passionate about rescuing animals, starting with kittens I would find and nurture alongside my mom. By high school, our family had grown to include 10 beloved cats.
Volunteering at local shelters opened my eyes to the critical need for proper grooming. Many animals were matted, filthy, and uncomfortable. I realized that a clean, happy pet has a better chance of being adopted. This inspired me to learn professional grooming, earning my certification in 2012. Since then, I’ve worked with top grooming salons and mobile businesses, honing my skills to serve animals better.
My journey has included rescuing animals with severe illnesses, injuries, and neglect. Each one, from feral cats to dogs with heartbreaking pasts, has taught me the power of love and care. Their transformations inspire me daily.
Today, I channel that passion into my business, Luxurious Pawz, where 10% of proceeds go toward grooming animals in shelters and rescues. My purpose is simple: to serve animals and give them a chance at a better life.”
